Practice Question: Width of Flow at Curb and Gutter

NCEES Civil PE Specification Hydraulics and Hydrology: Open-channel flow

Problem

A triangular channel curb and gutter system has a Manning's roughness coefficient  \(n = 0.015\), a longitudinal slope  \(S_L\) of 0.07 ft/ft, and a cross slope \(S_x\) of 0.02 ft/ft. If the flow rate Q  is 0.25 cubic feet per second, calculate the width of flow spread T in inches.
